Cows for Bosnia

On Facebook:  "When Gianni Rigoni Stern first saw the landscape around Srebrenica in Bosnia, it reminded him of home - the Asiago plateau in north east Italy. But in Bosnia, the effects of the devastating war of the early 1990s were still visible, and local villagers had never recovered. Gianni had an idea: give them cows! In Wednesday's programme (22 January), you can hear about the success of his project, and how 137 cows from Gianni's home region are helping their new owners rebuild their lives."
